This camshaft is a hydraulic replacement for the factory BOSS 351C mechanical camshaft. It has been painstakenly engineered to run near identically to the stock camshaft, but without the need of adjusting tappets. Vacuum, idle, horsepower and powerband should remain the same as the stock camshaft if no other modifications have been made. Valvetrain noise, however, will be a little quieter due to the hydraulic lifters.
Please note that the duration @ .050" and gross lift figures on this cam vary from the stock mechanical camshaft. This is because when you set valve clearance, or lash, on the mechanical cam you are removing lift and duration from the camshaft. What the valve actually sees on both cams will be extremely similar.
