Originally developed for Off-Shore racing, they feature precision Check-Ball Metering, allowing for continuous operation at high engines speeds in a high performance street or race car. They are also quite suitable for a daily driver, as they are quiet operation and do not have special preload settings like some of our competitor's performance lifters. They accept higher spring pressure than a stock lifter, allowing the engine to rev to high RPM, but they will work just fine with lighter spring pressure. They are also available in a Short-Travel version, P/N 5223-ST, by special order only. *Suggested maximum RPM only based on lifter valving. Other factors such as spring pressure, valvetrain weight, rocker ratio, and lobe stability play a large role in RPM potential. You may be able to turn more or less RPM than listed. **Minimum and Maximum spring pressure listed are only suggestions. In general, falling under the amount listed could cause poor valve control at higher RPM, and going over could cause premature cam lobe or bearing needle wear. Your application may warrant more or less prerssure - if in doubt please call for a suggestion tailored to your exact combo
